SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX

Monaco might be the epitome of F1 glamour but Singapore's night race might just be the sport's most visually stunning race. When the sun sets over the city's futuristic skyline and the street circuit's 1600 lighting projectors fire up, it's the closest F1 gets to Bladerunner – only here the streets are spotlessly clean. Its 25 corners and its twisting nature, coupled with the tropical heat make it a tough test of stamina and concentration for the drivers.

WELCOME TO SINGAPORE

No-one knew what to expect when F1's first night race was proposed but now into its seventh season it's difficult to remember F1 without the iconic, spectacular Singapore Grand Prix. The bumpy roads, the intense humidity and the unforgiving walls provide enough drama on their own, but seeing F1 cars flash between the skyscrapers of Singapore under the floodlights makes this an incredible spectacle. It's become a firm favourite with fans wanting to travel: with the race genuinely in the heart of the city, spectators step away from the grandstands and plunge straight into Singapore's vibrant nightlife and all it has to offer. Apparently it's great – but as teams don't generally leave the circuit until 4am, we have no idea...
